Eager Seattleites should lap up Delta Rae's music: It's the sort of holy-rolling, highly harmonized, stomp-and-shout Americana that could just as easily have come from Ballard as Durham, N.C., the sextet's actual birthplace. Along with Adele-esque vocals, massive drums, and radio-ready pop polish, currently buzzing track "Bottom of the River" renders southern Gothic atmosphere with the sounds of chirping crickets and rattling chains.
