London gloomers 2:54 (pronounced “Two Fifty Four” and named after a certain moment in a Melvins song) write lethargic guitar-driven jams reminiscent of early '90s alternative rock. Sisters Hannah and Colette Thurlow have been making music together since they were teenagers and playing in a punk band called the Vulgarians. This year they've garnered blog buzz and SXSW hype for their moody melodies and brooding vocal harmonies, despite the fact that the band have yet to record a full-length album.
