Joe Meno/Nathan Larson

The dream of the 1990s is alive in Joe Meno’s new Reality Bites-esque novel, Office Girl.  The book takes place in a single week, following a couple trapped in their terrible 20s in the last year of the 20th century. Meno’s co-reader, Nathan Larson (the man responsible for the scores of films such as Boys Don’t Cry) will be reading from his new pre-apocalyptic rock ‘n’ roll novel, The Nervous System. The plot lines sound like familiar post-grad literary tropes, but each author has mastered his craft well enough that even the grungiest dive-bar make-out scene seems new again.
