Jeff "Weirdo" Jacobson

Date:

Venue:
Vermillion

If you’ve stopped to gawk at the phantasmagorical aquatic scene painted along the wall at 2nd and Yesler and wondered from whose warped mind it surfaced, you’re in luck. Muralist Jeff Jacobson shows new solo work in “Ambiguous.” The painter spent his spring inking walls at UC Berkeley and giving an architecturally significant mansion in Nashville the What the Bleep!? treatment. Then he and artist Joe Nix completed a mural at 2nd and Main, featuring the heads of artists who inspire them, and dedicated to “the good people of Seattle.” Gruesome photorealistic still lifes or Pacific Northwest-inspired coral/fungal creations, it all comes from a man who says he “finally reached a point where there’s no filter between my imagination and the canvas.”
