Adding to the wealth of outdoor public art at Seattle Center this summer is a large-scale, sight specific light installation from LILIENTHAL|ZAMORA (aka Etta Lilienthal and Ben Zamora) that intends to activate the summer festival space by responding visually to the courtyard atrium. APEX features a series of bold fluorescent sculptures framing the Intiman's lobby entrance doors, creating a visual backdrop for outdoor performance and a striking entrance portal to welcome the audience into the theatre. The artists create self-reflective, intimate stand alone sculptures and environmental installation spaces, repeatedly studying the passage of time as it relates to the human form through light, form and movement. That’s what you’ll see. What you’ll feel in this new, immersive environment is unknown.
