City Arts Fest Announces David Byrne

We are thrilled to announce that David Byrne and St. Vincent will perform at Seattle's historic Fifth Avenue Theatre on Oct. 17, kicking off the 2012 Heineken City Arts Fest, which expands to four days this year. The festival will run Oct. 17–20 in iconic clubs, halls and venues throughout Seattle. The full festival line-up will be announced in late July. Discounted all-access wristbands and individual tickets will go on sale Aug. 2.

In its first two years, the Heineken City Arts Fest has included an array of music performances, interdisciplinary art showcases, exhibitions and events featuring critically acclaimed artists.Music programming has included: Belle and Sebastian, Ryan Adams, Robyn, Shabazz Palaces, Allen Stone, Head and the Heart, Pickwick, She & Him, Cat Power, The Hold Steady, Macklemore, Big Boi, Built to Spill, Crystal Castles, Ozomatli, The Long Winters, Blackalicious, Freestyle Fellowship, Mudhoney, Man Man, The Helio Sequence and many more. Arts programming has included work by the Free Sheep Foundation (DK Pan and nko), Amanda Manitach, Michael Van Horn, Serrah Russell, a star-studded collaboration showcase called Genre Bender, Erin Leddy (Hand2Mouth Theatre), and a world premiere by Jose Bold. The festival has drawn more than 20,000 people each year.
